This route shows you what you can’t miss in the city if you only have 4 hours.

This proposal is designed for energetic travelers, willing to walk 4 hours through Barcelona. If you want you can do this route on your own, without a guide… but it won’t be the same!!

Program

10:00 Sagrada Familia. Gaudí’s masterpiece, symbol of Barcelona and a must-see. We will take a Guided Tour inside the Basilica, accessing through the Official Guides entrance, without the need to queue.

After the visit we will travel by Metro to Paseo de Gracia (approx. 20 minutes)

11:30 Modernism on Paseo de Gracia. Starting at La Pedrera, at the top of Paseo de Gracia, and on foot and always downhill, we will reach Plaça Catalunya. We will see unique buildings characteristic of Modernisme such as Casa Fuster, Casa De les Punxes, Casa Comalat, Palau del Baró de Quadras, Casa Milà (la Pedrera), Casa Marfà, Casa Batllò, Casa Ametller and Casa Lleó Morera, making an introduction to Barcelona at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century, (its lights and shadows).

12:30 Gothic Quarter. We will enter the old town of Barcelona, where we will learn about the Roman origin of the city, its medieval heritage, the Gothic,… On a historical basis we will find secret marks of the cathedral, cursed gargoyles, modernist mailboxes in the Gothic, stories of saints and martyrs, executioners’ amulets, traveling stairs and buildings, lying skulls… endless stories that will show you a curious and mysterious Barcelona .

14:00 End of the visit.

We can also include

Visit to paid places (museums)

If you want, I can accompany you to one of the museums that we will find on our tour. As an Official Guide, I can make explanations inside them.

A coffee?

If you want, we can include a break or an end in a cozy place, where you can have a coffee and discuss the visit.

During the visit, if you tell me your interest, we can stop to shop in one of the unique stores that we will find on our tour.
